Overview
The APSi‑Pro‑D is a compact three‑way arrayable point‑source loudspeaker developed specifically for fixed installation environments where long‑term reliability, predictable coverage, and scalable system design are essential.
Its acoustic architecture is built around CODA’s Dual Diaphragm Coaxial Curved Wave Driver (DDC), which reproduces mid and high frequencies from a single coherent source. This driver feeds directly into the magnetic InstaFit APS‑COUPLER, forming a unified, pattern‑controlled wavefront that maintains consistency across the entire array.
By selecting different coupler configurations, system designers can tailor horizontal dispersion to the room, choosing between 60°, 90°, 120°, or asymmetrical patterns of 75°, 90°, and 105°, ensuring precise coverage in complex architectural spaces.
Low‑frequency reproduction is delivered by two 10‑inch high‑excursion neodymium drivers with carbon‑fibre diaphragms, chosen for their stiffness, low moving mass, and ability to maintain clarity under sustained load. These drivers are thermally bonded to a shaped aluminium baffle that also forms the cabinet’s reflex ports, implementing CODA’s Dynamic Airflow Cooling (DAC) technology. DAC actively draws heat away from the motor structures, increasing continuous power handling and dramatically reducing power compression — a critical advantage in permanent installations where systems must operate at high output for long durations without performance degradation. The result is a compact enclosure capable of delivering controlled, impactful low‑frequency performance down to 50 Hz.
Each APSi‑Pro‑D module provides a fixed 10° of vertical coverage and can be deployed individually or in vertical arrays. It integrates seamlessly with APSi‑Pro‑S modules, allowing designers to combine 10° and 30° elements to create short‑throw, medium‑throw, or hybrid arrays tailored to the venue’s geometry. Although compact, the APSi‑Pro‑D is engineered as a true installation‑grade system, with rigging and accessory options optimised for permanent deployment rather than touring convenience.
A defining feature of the APSi‑Pro installation series is the unique Array Keeper accessory system, which has been engineered specifically to address the serviceability challenges common in fixed installations. Traditional array frames require removing lower loudspeakers to access a cabinet positioned higher in the array, resulting in unnecessary labour, extended downtime, and increased risk during maintenance. The APSi‑Pro J‑Frame eliminates this problem entirely. Its mechanical design allows any individual loudspeaker to be removed, inspected, or replaced without disturbing the units beneath it, even when the system is fully installed and operational. This capability is exceptionally valuable in theatres, clubs, houses of worship, and multipurpose venues where access is limited and maintenance windows are short. The J‑Frame ensures that long‑term servicing is safe, efficient, and minimally disruptive — a genuine differentiator in the installation market.
When extended with the APSi‑SUB, the APSi‑Pro system reaches down to 28 Hz, providing full‑range performance suitable for music, speech, and high‑impact applications. The subwoofer can be flown above or below APSi‑Pro arrays or ground‑stacked, offering flexibility for venues with architectural constraints or strict aesthetic requirements. Together, APSi‑Pro‑D, APSi‑Pro‑S, and APSi‑SUB form a coherent installation‑optimised platform that combines point‑source clarity with arrayable scalability, supported by advanced driver technology and a rigging ecosystem designed for real‑world practicality and long‑term serviceability.
