The Municipal Culture Centre in the central Polish town of Gostynin was founded in 1993, and for more than three decades has been the community’s base for a wide range of activities, including musical and theatre performances, social activities, and cinema screenings. More than two years ago, its management took the decision to modernise and refurbish the Centre, since which it has undergone a significant transformation.
Upgrading the venue’s technology was an important part of the project and leading audio specialist Tommex was engaged to design, supply, and install, a high-quality sound system to cater for a demanding programme of theatre shows and concerts.
Tommex chose CODA Audio’s N-APS, ultra-compact arrayable point source as the idea fit for the 250-seat auditorium. The N-APS is an ultra-compact dual 6.5”, 2-way arrayable point source that combines the versatility of a point source with the perfect array ability of a line array, creating a unique category of sound reinforcement system for small to medium size venues.
The flown system installed at the Centre comprised 3 x N-APS and 2 x N-SUB per side supplemented by a single centrally-mounted CODA Audio G512 full-range 12” unit above the stage. 4 x CODA Audio D5-Cube ultra-compact 2-way coaxial 5”/1” loudspeakers provide front-fills at the stage lip. The system is powered by 2 x CODA Audio LINUS14D DSP amplifiers operating on a Dante network, ensuring flexibility and premium quality.
Thanks to its new system, the Gostynin Culture Centre now enjoys next generation audio quality capable of delivering clear and powerful sound for a broad range of performances, and enabling it to stage ambitious productions with full confidence.
