Swiss Watch CODA AiRAY Take Centre Stage

CODA Audio's AiRAY system was a hit at a number of festivals in Switzerland this summer. CODA distributor and event technology service provider, Schallwerk, gave the system its Swiss debut in June at the B-Sides Festival, a popular alternative event in Lucerne.

"First of all AiRAY has unbelievably great sound - extremely direct, punchy and snappy. The system provided the right dynamics with ease and is remarkable for its immense headroom. The small cabinet size is very discreet and significantly less susceptible to the effects of the wind. System set-up is very efficient, which in this instance (at Gurten) was important because the topography of the site was quite a challenge. Accessibility was very limited for vehicles - it's a one way route from the city to the site and the fact that we were able to fit the whole system in one 18 tonne truck was a huge advantage. In such a challenging arena we had only positive feedback from the technical crew who highlighted, in particular, the high directivity offered by AiRAY, which delivered an uncompromising sound even at a moderate volume level."

The following month AiRAY took its place on the Waldbuhne stage at the larger Gurten Festival, situated on a picturesque hillside outside Berne. Used in combination with CODA ViRAY boxes (for downfill and delays) AiRAY attracted positive feedback from every quarter.

Bruno Muff of Schallwerk reflected on AiRAY’s advantages:

Schallwerk’s AiRAY system maintained its presence on the Swiss Festival circuit at the hugely popular Funk Am See festival on the shores of Lake Lucerne in mid-August, leaving its owners in no doubt that they had made a very sound investment indeed.
